You are permitted to erect a shed and a greenhouse, providing a few common sense guidelines are followed.

You can erect a shed and/or a greenhouse, but you must obtain permission from the committee before doing so.

The size, location and materials that are to be used are specified in the society's lease for the site. Please tell us how you intend to construct it and what materials you propose to use, along with its approximate finished size.

ALLOTMENT SHEDS - must not exceed:
Height to ridge 2mt 28cm, Height to eaves 1mt 83cm, Length 2mt 44cm, Width 1mt 83cm

ALLOTMENT GREENHOUSES - must not exceed:
Height to ridge 2mt 28cm, Height to eaves 1mt 68cm, Length 3mt 66cm, Width 2mt 44cm

1. Be sure your Shed or Greenhouse is built in line with those on adjoining plots.

2. Consider your neighbour and avoid creating more shade than necessary.

3. Your Shed/Greenhouse must be of sound construction and your shed must be secure against unwanted entry. Both be fitted with a system of guttering and downpipes to enable water colection.

4. You must fit at least one (1) large water butt, in which to catch and save rainwater from both your Shed and Greenhouse. The ideal is four butts interconnected fited to each structure.

5. The use of old baths and tanks of any description is not permitted.
